Why I Love SUNY Oswego

Dear Grandma and Grandpa,

Coming to SUNY Oswego is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am sure you would love to hear how it is. Theres many things here that make it great, but I am just going to leave it to 5, which can not come close to doing it justice.

  • The academics are what you really want me to get out of this and I can confirm that I am enjoying my classes. After getting some gen-ed classes over with, I am really enjoying my classes and am getting the most out of them. My media classes are teaching me a lot about what I will need for the future
  • I am enjoying my time here and have many friends that I will know for the rest of my life. We hang out at least once a week and help each other with our studies. We are already planning summer trips for the future.
  • The activities and facilities here are making your money’s worth, they have weekly events that are fun to go to when I need to take a break from my classes and they are always lively and well organized. I also joined club soccer and it helps me stay in a schedule when I have practices and games and that helps me plan out my days and get work done.
  • The town around campus is great and there is lots to do, like bowling, go see a movie, watch a race at the raceway, and walk around shopping. The weather is warm and the sunsets on the lake are beautiful.
  • The food in the dining halls is good, and there is always something to eat even when the main course is not the best.
